It is Going to Get Busy!

The next couple of weeks are going to be some great sailing opportunities.

First up, this Saturday and Sunday is the Three Tree Point Regatta at Des Moines. Here is the link to the racing location. This is a fun regatta dominated by San Juan 21s. The weather forecast for this weekend looks promising. There is a boat lift at the Marina. You can register here or do it early Saturday morning. Remember, the start is at 10 am. Last year there was a great barbeque dockside. It looks like they are doing the same this year. This is also a great time to practice for the NOOD.

Second, we now have 12 boats registered. At this point in time, this is one more than we had last year. Take a look at the NOOD page. There are still three or so boats that have committed but have not officially registered yet. Remember, you only have till May 4 at 5 PM EST to register without a late penalty fee. I believe you can actually register up until the day off the racing, but why waste $40+ on the late fee. So, if you have yet registered, please do so soon. Having a large number of boats registered also creates momentum and may convince  others that are on the fence to commit. Our goal is to have 15 or so boats on the line.

Finally, Stephen has posted the score sheets for the Lake Union and West Seattle races. They are available on the racing page here.

We have a Fleet 1 Meeting on April 2nd at the Chelan Café. Standard 7:00 pm time. The NOOD's and Nationals will discussed as well as some more Sailing Rules discussions.

That Saturday, April 4th, we have our second Spring Series race on Lake Union. If you need any info on where the launch ramps are or how it will be run, post in the forums or look at the Racing Venues page. Start time is 12:00. Due to the time it takes to get off the lake, we will be strict about no starts after 3:00 pm.
