Where is this and just what event is it?

Anyone up for a bit of Friday fun? If you're associated with one of the boats in the pics please let everyone know how awesome this event is, but don't spoil the answer just yet:)
It shouldn't be too hard to figure out, but it's such a great event that we need to start talking about it asap!
