Rigging Clinic and 2013 Schedule Finalized...

Post date: Feb 22, 2013 11:43:19 PM

Last night we finalized the 2013 Race Schedule. I'll be posting it up to the events calendar as soon as I can, but for now I wanted to get a post out that we are going to be having the Rigging Clinic on 3/2 at 10 am at Chris Popich's sign company

Address here http://www.popichsign.com/contact/

The reason we're having it here? we're going to weight the boats in the fleet! so bring your boat down and let's get it weighed.

The class rules state

The minimum racing weight, of the San Juan 21 hull and mast, is to be no less than 1400

lbs, with all attached gear included, and all removable gear removed. Attached gear is

anything that is glued, screwed, bolted, split pinned or glassed in or onto the hull or mast.

So please, if you can, have your boat ready and bring the boat as configured. No need to bring the sails, rudder, boom, tackle box, fishing rods, down riggers, or anything else you use on your boat. Just the Hull, Mast, shrouds, and cleats, etc.

New Boat Owners

For newcomers who need rigging advice, at least 1 of you have contacted me, with a possible 2nd, so please feel free to bring your boats with everything included and we'll show you how to use it all, set the boat up, and answer any questions you need answers to. Chris assures me there is room to get a mast up in the parking lot of his office building.

See you there!
