Great day of sailing. 7 boats. 5 races. Challenging shifty winds. Close competition. 4th and 5th races were around the island

And this from the American Lake Sailing Club (ALSC) newsletter:

Three of the races were around Silcox Island which always makes for interesting races. Frank on Bye-Gone showed up and took lots of photo some which are printed here. It was a beautiful day for sailing and everyone had a lot fun. Hope that Fleet 1 makes it back to American Lake soon.

On May 2nd San Juan Fleet 1 came to American Lake for their monthly races. ALSC had a good showing on the day with four of the seven boats. ALSC boats included: Wild Juan, Teal, Red Juan and Sting Ray. Jerry on Sting Ray had some spiffy new sails. Five races were run that day with ALSC boats taking first place in four of them.
