2017 Spring #1

The day started out rather wet - and given that we already knew Jim, Chris, Jack and others were out, I wondered how many boats we'd actually get. Thankfully, we ended up with 5 (Scott, Paul, Jeff, Christian and Stephen) and despite on and off (mostly on, but not too heavy) showers, it was a great day of sailing. The wind moved around so much we never did get a course set that was truly upwind/downwind so there were no chutes launched. But all boats flying the same sails, decent wind, and some nice reaching legs lead to some nice, tight racing all day. And just think - those 5 boats plus another 4 or 5 regulars who weren't there and we'll be up to 10 in no time!

No word from the Renton Sailing Club, but we've got posters up around the area so hopefully we'll start generating some buzz for Fall #2 in 2 weeks, March 25th again at Coulon.

And don't forget - fleet meeting this Thursday, March 16th at Chelan Cafe.
