About Fleet 1

Fleet 1 is an active group of Pacific Northwest sailors united by their love for the San Juan 21 sloop. There is no other boat that combines the performance, ease of sailing, and low cost of operation than the San Juan 21.

One of the best things about these boats is the camaraderie and resource sharing you get with sailing in an active Fleet. If you are thinking of buying a San Juan 21 or have just bought one and need some assistance getting on the water, Fleet 1 members are more than happy to provide assistance. With over 2,600 hulls produced between 1969 and 1984, you are not alone when you have a San Juan 21. Sharpen your sailing skills by joining any of the Fleet 1 races or come sail with us in one of the summer cruises.

Joining Fleet 1

Fleet 1 is one of the most active SJ21 fleets in the country. This is only possible by the dedication each SJ21 sailor has shown to maintaining the class and to help with various fleet activities. We are also fortunate to have strong leadership as demonstrated by past Fleet 1 Captains. Annual dues are $30 and can be sent via check to the current Treasurer or via PayPal to our race chairman. Fleet 1 Meetings

Fleet 1 meets on the 2nd Thursday of each month since Covid, virtually. (Formerly, meetings were held in person at the Chelan Cafe at 3527 Chelan Ave SW, Seattle, Washington 98106 (206) 932-7383.) Meetings start at 7PM and we email the link out a day or two before each meeting. We are always interested in having new people come to our meetings.
